Michael Tolensky, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director
TanenbaumCHAT is thrilled to introduce Michael Tolensky as one of the newest members of the management team, stepping into the role of Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director. Michael joins TanenbaumCHAT from Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, where he served as the Chief Financial and Operating Officer and the Executive Director of the Toronto and Region Conservation Foundation. His impressive background also includes a notable tenure at PwC Canada, where he was a Trusted Business Advisor in a variety of assurance capacities and played a pivotal role in the firm’s audit quality and methodology group.
In addition to these professional experiences, Michael is a federally appointed Trustee for the Canadian Museum of Nature. With his extensive experience in executive leadership, strategic thinking, and change management, coupled with his strong commitment to integrity and transparency, TanenbaumCHAT is confident that Michael will make a significant contribution to the school.
Corey Shurman-Etherington, Director of Marketing and Communications
Corey Shurman-Etherington joins the TanenbaumCHAT management team as the Director of Marketing and Communications. Having previously served as the Marketing Director for the annual campaign at the UJA Federation of Greater Toronto, Corey brings a deep commitment to community engagement and a passion for fundraising to her new role.
Corey also brings extensive marketing and communications experience from her time at the Art Gallery of Ontario and with well-known Canadian retail brands like Indigo and Joe Fresh.
As a storyteller, a passionate leader, and dedicated team player, Corey is recognized for her strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail. She excels at driving brand awareness and building meaningful connections, making her a valuable addition to the TanenbaumCHAT team.
