Lug Sports CEO Ray Abramson ’09 returned to TanenbaumCHAT as the generous sponsor of the TanenbaumCHAT Tigers, providing brand-new hockey jerseys and swag to the team. We extend a heartfelt Todah Rabah to Abramson for his ongoing support.

One of the highlights of Mental Health Awareness Week at TanenbaumCHAT was welcoming back Rachel Lebovic ’19 to speak with our students. Lebovic, a firstyear PhD student in the Institute of Medical Science at the University of Toronto, is researching suicide prevention and systems-level mental health care. Drawing from her own journey with mental illness, she gave a powerful and insightful talk on what it feels like to be different and how to advocate for one’s own mental health.

Todah Rabah to Jacob Jesin ’97 (current parent) for generously serving as the judge for the annual Grade 12 Mock Trials. His experience offers students valuable insights into the legal system and we are grateful for his involvement each year.

Grade 11 teacher Sara Black’s Media class had the privilege of welcoming Jake Offenheim ’16, who shared his journey in the world of social media. As the Director of Influencer Partnerships and Video Production at LostTribe, Offenheim provided students with valuable insights on building an audience, increasing engagement, and analyzing analytics. His expertise offered a real-world perspective on achieving success in social media.

A student-led STEAMForward panel, organized by Grade 11 student Ora K., featured Dr. Jeremy Chad ’09, Dr. Jordan Lass ’06, Jacqueline Liebman ’12, and Susan Osher (current parent). The panellists shared their career journeys and current roles within the STEAM field, reflecting on how TanenbaumCHAT influenced their decisions and helped prepare them for success in both university and their professional lives. During the event, the panellists engaged in a student-led discussion, answering questions about their career paths, and the steps that led them to their current positions.

The annual StartUp TanenbaumCHAT tech conference provided business students with an opportunity to hear from alumni about their career journeys. A special thank you to keynote speaker and current parent Morley Iver, and panellists Eli Gladstone ’06, Sydney Bly ’17, Ashley Bly ’17, Sammy Brown ’16, and Kyra Pollack ’17, who generously shared their valuable insights and expertise with our students.

TanenbaumCHAT explores a wide range of potential career paths for future students to pursue. Focusing on the arts, TanenbaumCHAT welcomed Broadway producer Russell Citron ’09, writer and actor Diane Flacks ’84, lawyer-turned-writer Wendy Litner ’98, and stand-up comic Rachel Manson ’13. Each shared their inspiring journeys and offered valuable insights into their dynamic careers in the arts.
