This past spring, TanenbaumCHAT held its first-ever Alumni Music Reunion, where former bandmates and choir members reminisced about the good ol’ days. The event was led by Jaclyn Klimitz ’03, head of the Music Department, and attended by Janice Rose, the school’s original architect of the music program. Like many events at the school, the reunion wouldn’t have happened without the “Power of Alumni.” The incredible organizing committee and day-of volunteers included Hannah Ginsberg ’21, Rebecca Benjamin ’15, Matthew Craig, Mindy Chapman ’13, Krystal Barkhordarian ’15, Orly Lewis ’16, and Senior Advancement Officer, Alumni Relations Evan Goldenthal ’02.

Trivia competitiveness was at an all-time high at the first-ever TanenbaumCHAT Alumni Trivia Night. TanenbaumCHAT welcomed 70-plus participants, and was hosted by Guidance Counsellor Richie Stoll ’80 and Solomon Klein ’05. Kol Hakavod to the winning team “The Free Agents,” featuring Aaron Zwiebel ’20, David Tsetlin ’20, Fred Winegust ’77, Adira Winegust ’07, Zev Winegust ’17, and Judi Morris (former staff).

TanenbaumCHAT held a networking and mentorship event with organizers Eden Marco ’18 and Kayla Saul ’18 who started JEWELS (Jewish Empowered Women Encouraging Leadership and Success). Smartiepants and TanenbaumCHAT hosted an engaging baby and toddler music class for all TanenbaumCHAT alumni and their soon-to-be alumni little ones. The adorable classes would not have been possible without Jenna (Halberstadt) Grossman ’10, President of Smartiepants, who hosted and led the classes.

Alumni staff gathered for two events this past year—a Chanukah sufganiyot lunch and a Purim candy exchange. Everyone had a great time at the chag (holiday)-themed parties and enjoyed spending time together as a cohort that has so many shared experiences. Special thanks to the Staff Alumni Committee: Krystal Barkhordarian ’15, Simone Brodsky ’15, Danya Koplowitz ’08, and Shaanan Scherer ’96.
