On Sunday, January 21, before kicking off the opening ceremonies of the Israel Becker International Invitational (see page 24), TanenbaumCHAT hosted a 3-on-3 Alumni Basketball Tournament. We were thrilled to welcome over 30 former students back into the Meyer/Finkelstein Gymnasium for a very entertaining morning of basketball, preceded by a breakfast for our alums. Mazal tov to “The SENDers” (featuring David Banyasz ’05, Shai Berliner ’02, Emanuel Flatt ’05, and Noah Kadish’05) on winning the inaugural men’s championship and hoisting the trophy!

TanenbaumCHAT held its first-ever Alumni Classic hockey game on Thursday, March 12, where a star-studded alumni team faced off against our current undefeated boys varsity team. Following a ceremonial puck drop by Head of School Dr. Jonathan Levy, the crowd was treated to an exhilarating back-and-forth game in which the Varsity Boys earned a come-from-behind victory in the game’s final minutes. Kol Hakavod to Ray Abramson ’09 for helping to organize such a successful event.

(L. to R.:) Our TanenbaumCHAT alums and our varsity boys hockey team participated in our inaugural Alumni Classic hockey game; Four decades of TanenbaumCHAT alums came out to participate in our 3-on-3 Alumni Basketball Tournament.

We are looking to host similar tournaments for our female alums as well. If you’re interested in participating or helping with the planning, please contact Evan Goldenthal ’02, Senior Advancement Officer, Alumni Relations, at [email protected]
