The second annual TanenbaumCHAT Challah Bake was a huge success, bringing together nearly 150 participants for an evening filled with community, connection, and of course, delicious challah!
The event was a wonderful opportunity for students, families, and staff to unite and bond over the shared experience and meaningful tradition of making challah together. In addition to the challah bake, a shuk (market) featuring beautiful Judaica jewellery was set up, honouring our Jewish pride and spirit. Attendees enjoyed both the shopping experience and the hands-on challah making!
Teacher Amy Goldsweig led the event, guiding participants in making the dough while explaining the spiritual significance of each ingredient. We were also treated to a meaningful D’var Torah from Grade 12 students Madelaine E. and Talia M. Todah Rabah to the sponsors, planning committee, staff, and the dedicated parent volunteers for helping to put this meaningful night together.
The evening was one to remember, filled with learning, laughter, warmth, and Jewish pride.
